Their efforts paid off as they donated nearly $2,000 worth of toys on Dec. 10. In addition, they teamed up with members of the Palmer Campus Guides to volunteer at the Toys for Tots warehouse on Dec. 10.
January is a great time for chiropractors and staff to get the wheels moving and Dynamic Essentials in Atlanta Georgia is a perfect place to start. The following was in my email but I wanted to share it. There are still chiropractors that don’t know the value of attending DE.

Chiropractic offices all over the world are getting decorated for this year’s holiday season. Not all chiropractors decorate their office for Halloween, and some for pumpkins and other decorations out for Thanksgiving, but most offices will at least have minimal decorations up for Christmas. At ADIO Chiropractic in Los Angeles, we like to go all out. There’s hundreds of feet of colored lights, a Christmas tree that nearly reaches the ceiling, and a 60″ TV playing the season’s best holiday Blu-Ray movies.

Please be advised that the Board of Chiropractic Examiners (BCE) recently adopted informed consent requirements, which becomes effective October 7, 2011. California Code of Regulations, Title 16, .Div. 4, Article 2, Section 319.1 provides that:
Today’s date marks 116 years since the first chiropractic adjustment was given in Davenport, Iowa. On September 18, 1895, it was Daniel David Palmer (the Father of Chiropractic) making a hands on healing connection and curing a deaf janitor named Harvey Lillard. The Ryan building janitor had been plagued by years of deafness following an injury, and the hands-on thrusting and realignment of spinal vertebrae, provided a miracle today known as a chiropractic adjustment.
Two chiropractic events are taking place in Los Angeles at the end of September, with one being held on the Eastside in Pasadena, and the other on the west side in Culver City, California. They may be local events to those practicing in the Los Angeles area, but chiropractors are traveling from across the country to come speak at the Friday Saturday event in Culver City. Both events are a great opportunity for meeting other local chiropractors, getting some spizz, and staying focused on practicing chiropractic and serving the masses in Los Angeles.
Patients thank chiropractors in all kinds of ways. Some show their appreciation by bringing food to the office, others bring gifts, and still many others refer friends and family so that they may also receive chiropractic care. For the chiropractor, it’s not about the receiving, but about the giving, and as I’ve said on these Planet Chiropractic pages many times since 1999, you cannot out give the giver. Ian Grassam called it service, and he said the price was becoming servant to all.
For the second straight year, Life University Sport Health Science students, faculty and alumni provided chiropractic care to the participants at the US Masters Swimming (USMS) Summer Nationals.
What if I told you there is a Chiropractic story more popular than news about real electronic brains, or medical stories from the Mayo Clinic and Harvard, is that something you might be interested in? Perhaps that’s a story you’d like to create.
Whether it be getting adjusted to achieve optimal performance, or getting adjusted to recover from stresses and strains put on the body, chiropractic is the way to go for summer sports. As a chiropractor practicing in a beach community, I see a fair share of sun related summer activities, which gets people on adjusting tables for proper spine alignment. This past weekend was no exception, as Southern California chiropractors were hands-on to provide adjustments for amateur and professional men’s and women’s volleyball players at the Corona Light Wide Open event in Hermosa Beach, California.
On September 11, 2001 America’s nervous system suffered a massive insult, overloading all physical and emotional stress circuits. We became stronger, increasing our compassion, capacity, and production. We became more fragile, and so many made promises, seeking a little something, some substance, with all of life’s sauce.

Parker University played host to the 2011 Talk the TIC Finals on July 6, 2011. Talk the TIC is a worldwide annual chiropractic health talk competition between chiropractic students effectively delivering a chiropractic message to others. The purpose is to refine the skill of communicating the principle, science, and knowledge of chiropractic in order to share it with the public. It allows students to practice overcoming their fear of public speaking as well as perfect their explanation of what chiropractic is and what the benefits of chiropractic care are to a lay audience.
Here are a few July and August chiropractic event updates for Los Angeles California, Oakland California, and Marietta Georgia. All of these notifications came via my e-mail. Personally, I find it’s important to hang out with other chiropractors regularly, as it keeps me reminded that I’m not in this by myself. There are local events (like CORE Pasadena and DCS Orange County), and large events (like The Wave and Dynamic Essentials), and I do my best to attend both kinds. By the way, the CCA conference in Reno this past June, was terrific.
The following arrived the other day via email. The person’s name has been excluded, but I felt this topic should be addressed publicly, as it may help more than one person make a conscious and educated decision about a career in chiropractic.

Life West is located in Hayward, California but the event is taking place Oakland, California (so leave your San Diego Chargers hats at home).

When we decided to create a chiropractic college within a comprehensive university, our vision was in part to bring the world to chiropractic. The future presidents of companies, future researchers, future CEO’s, future politicians, future business owners, etc., all have one thing in common, an education from an academic center of excellence. Many chiropractic entities strive to bring chiropractic to the world and although we strongly applaud and support every effort to do so, we choose to fulfill that mission in part by positioning the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic (UBCC) in such a manner that the world comes to us.
