2011 DCS Dead Chiropractic Society California Jam Best Yet

A massive storm moved through Orange County California this past weekend. No doubt the tornado warnings up and down the California coast, were the result of an amazingly high pressure system going on inside the Segerstrom Center for the Arts (formerly the Orange County Performing Arts Center), as the place was absolutely electrifying. This was the fourth year chiropractors and staff converged in the area, flying into John Wayne international Airport, or making the drive from wherever it is they practice.

From what I could tell, attendance was the best the CalJam chiropractic program had seen in the past four years. The strong attendance was likely the result of DCS founder Bill Demoss jet setting across the globe and speaking about chiropractic this past year. The efforts of those putting on these programs are staggering, people are probably still returning home from the event, and organizers are undoubtedly already making plans for the 5th Annual CalJam 2012.

The speakers were a who’s who of extraordinary leadership and insight in today’s chiropractic profession. Solid talks on chiropractic as a lifestyle were given by Patrick Gentempo, Gerald Clum, CJ Mertz, Fred Scofield, and many others. I spent quite a few hours deep in inspired chiropractic discussion with one of my favorite chiropractors, Dr. Sharon Gorman, a result of the energy that comes when so many like-minded individuals come together.

There was a presence by the California Chiropractic Association (an organization I urge all California Chiropractors to become members of), and several of the nation’s chiropractic colleges. I know that both Life University and Life Chiropractic College West (with its new presidential leadership) would openly welcome those considering a career in chiropractic, in the model that was presented over the weekend.

Chiropractors celebrated, exchanged hugs, broke bread, and received awards. There was an award for the late Dr. Fred Barge, and the always inspiring living chiropractic legend Reggie Gold. Congratulations from Planet Chiropractic to everyone that made the 2011 CalJam Chiropractic Extravaganza such a phenomenal success. The chiropractor fire burns strong in Southern California, and its light can be seen and felt throughout the world.
