Plastic Spine Keychains

By Michael Dorausch, D.C.

There was a Chiropractic Christmas Tree news post on Planet Chiropractic today with a mention about spinal keychains that we hand out in my LA office. The photos shown did not show the keychains so well and someone had emailed me asking about them. I found photos I already took of the key chains so here is one below.

Spine Keychains – I don’t have the info handy as to where we purchase these but they are not expensive. I’ve searched online and there are at least 3 different companies selling these. If you are ordering them make sure you get the larger sized keychains (shown below) vs the small ones. The smaller spine keychains look odd (at least to me) and don’t have as much room for text either.

They go really quick and some patients have asked to get replacements as they use them until the information wears off. That’s one of the down sides (that the phone numbers eventually wear off). They are made of hard plastic and have been really durable. Great for branding. Great as unique gifts. Great for all those single keys you have laying around.

We’ve also done custom neck pillows and a number of other products. I’ll search out some of my old photos and post them so you can get some marketing ideas.

  1. Used to be sold in lots of 100 or more as a “Bag of Bones.” Can’t remember the company that did it. You’re right, patients love them.

  2. Great marketing and branding tool!

  3. @Rob Shaw, DC: That’s it, Bag of Bones. I’ll check with my staff and find out how much. I think we order them 200 or more at a time.

@Shama Hyder: Thanks. They have been well received. High on my list for good promotional item.

  4. lots of promotional companies sell them. just google “spine keychains”.

  5. Thanks David! Noticed results appearing for as low as $1.13 per piece. Now if we can locate a provider that will offer a discount or coupon we’ll be sharing that here.

  6. We have these in our office as well and a hit they truly are! We purchase ours through AMI (Anatomical Models International). Call toll free 877-208-9372. Prices go down the more you buy. They come in a mesh draw-string bag of 100 @ $1.35 per spine. Two bags – $1.25 each. Three bags – $1.15 each. Special off this month: 5 bags – $0.95 each.
