National Health and Spine Institute Letters
By Michael Dorausch, D.C.
I received letters today from the National Health Bureau located in Redondo Beach, an Advanced Spinal Research Institute, and a nutritional practice building system based out of Clearwater Florida. Before I start, many thanks again to the chiropractors in the San Diego area who offered service to firefighters and community members during the California fire storms. Here is a list of wildfire charities that includes two for animals. I also wanted to mention that the International Chiropractors Association is hosting a Summit on innate intelligence in December at Bally’s in Las Vegas.
So I’ve been making it a habit to post some information from mail and faxes I am receiving at my chiropractic office and posting that information here. Stuff like decompression, nutrition, chiropractic technique, massage chairs, and nearly anything I receive in the office.
I received a letter today from the National Health Bureau which is based in Redondo Beach, California. According to the letter, this group has teamed up with th Child Security Network to make a positive difference in the lives of children. It turns out the National Bureau is some kind of marketing network for chiropractors that gets involved in health fairs, screenings, referrals from attorneys, corporate health programs, community events, web site and e-mail campaigns, in a bunch of other stuff. Always interests me when I’m being told this is promo to benefit others (in this case children) but the marketing pages literally read PROFITS, PROFITS, PROFITS.
I’m seeing lots of mail for someone called Dr. Freddie Ulan and a successful nutritional practice program I should be getting involved in. This most current postcard says.. Yes…You CAN build a successful nutritional practice. According to the postcard, this chiropractor offers a step-by-step system to add nutrition to a practice without any risk or loss of income. The program apparently helps to eliminate insurance nightmares chiropractors may be having, and the program offers to grow your practice (don’t they all). It’s a three-day seminar and it’s being held in the state of Florida but there are no dates listed on the postcard. I’ll check other related cards for more information.
I also received a very nice invitation to an event on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. This is hosted by the Institute for advanced spinal research and the spine Institute of Santa Monica. Definitely medical doctors. Opening the envelope looks like this is going to be an art event held on November 15 in Beverly Hills. While I’m there I’ll also get to learn about an interspinous stabilization device called coflex. According to the letter, this investigational device is designed to provide dynamic stabilization to affected areas of the lumbar region without requiring fusion. The device was designed to help maintain foraminal openings through which nerve roots pass which helps to increase spinal canal volume. Unfortunately this event is during time I’m in the office seeing patients, or I’d actually consider attending, since its close to my home, and these events can be a lot of fun. Get a few medical doctors around an open bar and they tell some of the funniest stories.
That’s it for today, already late for the office.

“Get a few medical doctors around an open bar and they tell some of the funniest stories.” I’d love to be a fly on the wall for this 🙂
Thanks for the article.
