October is a month for celebration and a change of the seasons. Holidays are just around the corner, and the hustle and bustle of year-end activities will soon be upon us.

September 07′ was Chiropractic History Month, and this website featured historical articles and videos, for your enjoyment. We’ve moved into Oktoberfest season, and there are lots of activities going on in the world of chiropractic during this autumn month. Be on the lookout for the latest chiropractic Halloween costumes, and other related goblin stories.

At the ICPA, October is Nero Sensory Month, and members of the organization will be focused on community outreach and education of chiropractic care for children. As executive director Jeanne Ohm, puts it… “It is Neuro Sensory Month and parents are looking for the truth. Unsafe treatments, misdiagnosis and frustration with no solutions are raising parents concerns. They want to know what we know–offer parents the resources and solutions they are seeking.”

October is also time for the fall LifeSource Seminar in Atlanta, Georgia. LifeSource is a progressive movement for an inner-driven lifestyle including personal and professional development. The event takes place in Atlanta on October 12-14, and features chiropractic speakers including: Ben Lerner, Dean Depice, Jeanne Ohm, Chuck Ribley, Sharon Gorman, Guy Riekeman, John Hofman, and others.

At Planet Chiropractic, we’re going to continue having fun, and adjust our focus on finding chiropractors for the many that have been contacting us. Just yesterday I was speaking to Harry Engel of Frye Chiropractic in Lancaster, California and he was seeking a chiropractor (for a referral) in the downtown Los Angeles area, that specialized in activator methods chiropractic technique. We could all be doing a better job of connecting qualified chiropractors with those that desire chiropractic care, don’t you think?

After not locating the right individual, I decided we had work to do. We’ll be beginning a series of featured chiropractic states (I intend to cover all 50) in a way to help people discover local chiropractors and assist in making referrals to others. We’ll also be featuring individual chiropractors in upcoming articles, and that could be daily, weekly, or completely sporadically, depending on the level of participation we get from the chiropractic community and the people they are serving. Lets not forget Canada, and the rest of the world as well.

I’m beginning with the state of Washington, and I’m asking everyone to visit the Washington Chiropractors page to see if there is information that could be added, that would help people in that state know more about the chiropractic services available there. To kick things off, I’m putting the spotlight on Seattle Chiropractor, Lawrence Clayman, of Roxbury Spine and Wellness Clinic. Dr. Lawrence doesn’t know I chose him first, but I recently had several requests from people in the Seattle area, seeking chiropractors, and this was rather spur of the moment. Even though he’s not my chiropractor, he has been a great colleague, and always remembers to ask about my running and well-being, when I see him.

Do you know a chiropractor we should be featuring in the news? If so, get in touch!
