Conference Exhibition and Healing Events

By Michael Dorausch, D.C.

Going through another stack of mail. I receive lots of information about symposiums, conferences, continuing education, nutritional seminars, and all sorts of events related to chiropractic and other health-care industries. I share what I can on this blog for those that may be seeking more information.

While not related to nutrition, I received a flyer regarding unsecured business lines of credit. I figured I’d mention that quickly since our admin deletes a lot of posts made to the classified ads section that are related to getting loans, securing capital, and receiving lines of credit. Reason why is that most offers look shady. Hoping to create a resource soon of reliable companies that provide financing to chiropractic businesses and other health-care based practices. OK, back to conferences.

Received a postcard from a company called Pri-Med West for a conference and exhibition taking place in Anaheim, California on May 15-17, 2008. Some of the clinical lectures are presented by faculty of Harvard Medical School and the David Geffen school of medicine at UCLA. You won’t find this event listed in the events database since it is geared towards continuing education credits for medical doctors. According to the postcard attendees can earn up to 30 AMA PRA category one credits.

One of the keynote speakers is Dr. Gary Green. He will be speaking on the topic of Performance Enhancing Drugs in Sports: at what cost? Looks interesting. Conference is being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. (some photos from a chiropractic Anaheim conference)

I see two drug-free sports related articles, lead drive for drug-free athletes & NCADFA, that chiropractic readers may find interesting.

Received a mailing from Parker regarding upcoming seminar in Las Vegas in February. Mentioned that event in a seminars news post, a 2008 hotels post, and blog schedules. There’s a Karl Parker event taking place this weekend in Las Vegas.

Last piece of mail on the desk was for a California practice for sale in San Francisco, and one in the Silicon Valley of Santa Clara County. There are over 500 practices for sale currently listed in the classifieds, and that’s the best resource I know of online.
