We all need to participate
As chiropractors we need to rally around that which is unique to us in the health care market place. We need to present to the public a clear and identifiable service and benefit for their health and well being. The ICA has taken the first step in this by proclaiming “Subluxation Awareness Week.”
This proclamation is designed to get each chiropractor involved on a local level, in their office and with their local politicians. On a national level the ICA is asking all groups to participate and gather whatever support they can. The beauty of this annual event is that it will gain momentum each year with more people adding to the pool of support and effort. The ICA, with a website donation from Now You Know, has placed pages on a web site with instructions on how to participate.
In the coming days template letters will be added for everyone to use. To join in this effort please visit: ICA Subluxation Awareness Week.
Additional information can also be viewed on a site created by “Planet Chiropractic” on a website they have provided at: www.subluxaware.com.
“Subluxation Awareness Week”
The officers and members of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) understand the devastating effects of vertebral subluxation on health and well-being. The officers and members of the ICA further understand the advantages and benefits of a life free of subluxation. These advantages include maximum potential in health, performance, human potential and social well-being. For these reasons, and to enlighten the world to these vital health principles, the International Chiropractors Association hereby declares the week of September 18th, the anniversary of the birth of chiropractic, to be further known as, “SUBLUXATION AWARENESS WEEK.”
Voted unanimously August 1, 2001, ICA Board of Directors
Planet Chiropractic would like to recognize Gin Keller (CA Extraordinaire), Drs. Shawn Powers and James Sigafoose for their efforts in promoting Subluxation Awareness Week.
