It’s early news, but Palmer Rugby Alumni are hosting a 12 hours continuing education chiropractic event in Deerfield Beach, Florida late February and early March of 2009. Earlier today chiropractor Michael Dorausch posted a chiropractic blog piece regarding simple and effective ad placement for those using the classified ad system on Planet Chiropractic. The post highlighted something a chiropractor was doing right when placing an employment wanted ad for their office. Dr. Dorausch spoke about information he called “granular” and stressed the importance of using local (and even hyper local) information in ad postings. Chiropractic Research Center Awarded $2.6 Million NIH Grant

The Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research (PCCR) was notified today that it has received an award to establish a four-year, multidisciplinary Developmental Center for Clinical and Translational Science in Chiropractic from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Palmer College Opens Center for Business Development

The Palmer Center for Business Development opened this spring on Palmer College of Chiropractic’s campus in Davenport, Iowa. The Center is designed to provide current students and new graduates with best practices in how to successfully run a business. The curriculum is free of charge to students and alumni, and offers them a supplement to what they learn in the classroom as part of the Doctor of Chiropractic curriculum. “The Center’s educational focus is on realistic, universally accepted business practices that can be easily adopted into a chiropractic practice,” said Vice Chancellor for Student Success Kevin Cunningham, D.C.

10 years ago, deciding on a name for one’s chiropractic office was a fairly easy decision. In the naming process, a typical chiropractor would determine what other names were being used in the community and steer clear of those.
