Chiropractor reports on the magnitude 7.9 earthquake that struck Peru on August 15th, 2007.
The following appeared on my desk via e-mail from someone I know in the Los Angeles community.
Here is what my chiropractor friend does for news. His name is Michael Sontheimer, and he was hired by a guy who opened a practice in Lima, Peru, and has been practicing there for about 2 years now. I sure miss hanging with him, but the people down there seem to need him more than I do right now.
If I am not mistaken, you are a big name in the chiropractor community. If there is an organization that would be interested in helping out, would you please let me know, and I will start the whole process of getting people in contact with one another. That may be a big request since there are several people here in this country that need help. But it never hurts to ask.” – Phil Antes
This comes from chiropractor, Michael Sontheimer: So some of my chiropractor friends and I went down near the epicenter of the massive earthquake that hit Peru a few weeks ago. We took food, water, diapers and clothes to give to those that lost all they had. We also gave some chiropractic adjustments and just lent some general cheer and hope in a very sad and desperate environment. These pictures dont show even a fraction of the devestation. Although I am sure CNN has moved on to bigger and newer stories, these people are still suffering and will be for many months to come. Give them your good thoughts and prayers please, they need all they can get.
