I’m still down at Disneyland in Southern California, attending a chiropractic conference. Conferences in this industry are typically held at hotel locations throughout the United States, but there’s quite a few continuing education programs that take place on chiropractic college campuses. Nearly every chiropractor that brought their family to the area spent a few days at Disneyland. Looks like it was a successful place to put together a conference.
Yesterday I wrote about seven locations for chiropractic schools in the USA, but there are currently 18 institutions in the United States that offer chiropractic programs. Below are some that I didn’t mention in yesterday’s post.
Founded in 1908, Texas Chiropractic College is the third oldest chiropractic college still in existence. The school is located in the city of Pasadena, Texas. Also in the state of Texas is Parker Chiropractic College, and they are located on Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas. From what I’ve heard from practicing chiropractors, the two schools vary greatly in their philosophies of this healing arts industry. If you’re seeking to attend a chiropractic college, I suggest you speak to a number of former graduates and visit as many campuses as possible.
In South Carolina there’s a school called Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic. The campus is located in Spartanburg. The school was established in the 1970s by a number of dedicated chiropractors that wanted to see a different kind of chiropractic education made available, then what was currently being offered at other schools.
Yesterday I mentioned the Cleveland College in Los Angeles, but I didn’t mention the Kansas City campus. Yes, there are two Cleveland Chiropractic Colleges in the United States. One is located in California, and the other is located in Missouri. The Cleveland schools got their name from the family (Carl Cleveland) and not the location (Cleveland, Ohio). When one says they attended Cleveland to study chiropractic, they are talking about the name of the school and not the location.
In the city of Chesterfield is a school called Logan Chiropractic College. It’s also in the state of Missouri and the school has been in existence since 1935.
That’s five more locations for chiropractic schools in the United States, I’ll take a look through the list and see what other locations I still have to cover.
