Life Source chiropractic seminar this past weekend

I got to see one of my heroes on this principled journey at the Life Source seminar this past weekend, Dr. Will Tickel. Over the years, Will has claimed that BJ actually wrote, “Get the idea; all else follows”–note the absence of the word “big.” And whether or not that’s true, it has got me thinking about things big and small, particularly in relation to events this weekend, which seemed huge, and to the present situation in chiropractic, which often makes me feel minuscule.

I feel it coming. Like the barest shift in the breeze, there’s a change brewing. Something’s comin’; something good, if I can wait. I can almost hear a bugle in the far off night, as if the cavalry is mounting up for a charge, just in time for the dramatic rescue. Maybe it’s because spring has fully sprung here in Lake Tahoe.

Fellow Strollers of the Principled Chiropractic Path

The path of least resistance, according to BJ Palmer, “is what makes rivers and men crooked.” When I choose to look honestly at my chiropractic practice and my life (as if I’m fooling me when I choose otherwise), I see the truth of that statement. All too often. And after 15 years on a principled path, it is humbling, to say the least, to discover areas in which I haven’t quite gotten “there” yet. Areas thru which I still tend to take the path of least resistance. I already knew about some of them, of course. But recently a few more have floated into my awareness, and sometimes I wonder if “there” is even possible to reach in this lifetime.

I realized then that most of the things I had previously doubted had become tangible parts of my belief system.
