So all of a sudden Twitter is everywhere. Not really, but with Oprah now on Twitter and Ashton Kutcher battling CNN for followers, it seems as though it’s only a matter of time before my parents appear with accounts of their own. Earlier today Dr. Michael Dorausch posted on Twitter Blog Mentions and I thought there was a lot more tweet related posts than I had recalled. Since it’s the weekend, and I only have one other news report due before Monday, I figured I’d investigate Twitter Mentions in the news. Here’s what I found.

Zenith 420 Plus 155 New Spine Tingling Classifieds

Classified advertising summaries were put off for the week since we were focused on 2009 Super Bowl news and other stories. A whopping 155 new classified ads were placed in the past week, many being for practices getting sold throughout the United States. Traction tables, Hydrocollators, SOT blocks, Nutrition Response DVDs, chiropractic space for least, and 100+ other classified advertisements were placed. 2009 Steelers Super Bowl Parade

The city of Pittsburgh will honor six-time Super Bowl Champion Steelers at noon today in a parade held throughout downtown Pittsburgh. The 2009 Superbowl victory parade will use the same route as Pittsburgh’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, beginning at the Mellon Arena on Center Avenue and Washington Place. The parade is expected to end at the Boulevard of the Allies and Stanwix Street. Streets in downtown Pittsburgh will be closed for several hours before and during the parade. Those attending are urged to use public transportation and make use of river shuttles being offered to the downtown area.

2009 Best Super Bowl Commercials

Super Bowl 43 (XLIII) between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers (Steelers won 27-23) featured 67 game-time advertisements televised on NBC that ranged in costs between $2.4 million and $3 million per 30-second Superbowl commercial slot. The Super Bowl is a marketers dream as it is the one televised event of the year where people excitedly tune in to watch the commercials. It’s becoming a national pastime to vote on one’s favorite commercials and talk about them during the days following the NFL’s big championship game.
