Dr. Smoothie Amino Repair and Bio Bars

By Michael Dorausch, D.C.

A territory manager for a company called Dr. Smoothie dropped by my Los Angeles chiropractic office just before the Christmas holidays. He left me with some nutritional products to try out. The sample packs were called Amino Recovery, Amino Hydrate, and Amino Repair. He also included a peanut butter crunch flavored Bio Bar.

I haven’t had a chance yet to try out the products as I have been out of town for the past two weeks. I did tell Adam Lasko at Dr. Smoothie that I would try out the products and let him know what I thought.

While my LA chiropractic office doesn’t sell nutritional products, I do think nutrition is an important part of anyone’s health care regimen. I personally love stuff like this and I’ve long been a fan of number of nutritional products that can be easily blended with water, or other liquids.

Checking the packets on all the beverage mix formulas, it looks like all are recommended to blend, shake or mix vigorously, and are best served chilled. The three different products had differing amounts of water recommended. Amino recovery was suggested with 4 ounces of water, amino hydrate was suggested with 12 ounces, and amino repair was suggested with 6 ounces of H2O.

Adam provided me with several pages of promotional information as well as nutritional information on all the products they sell. I’ll be trying everything out and will follow up this post with a taste test report.

If you are a product vendor or representative, know that we at Planet Chiropractic love receiving free stuff to test out and report on, our mailing address can be found on the main website.
