News reports are out this week claiming that more than half of US adults surveyed have no intention of getting a flu shot this year. In a survey conducted by the Rand Corp. only about 30% of adults surveyed said they had already received a flu vaccination this year, with 17% planning to get a flu shot before the season ended, and 53% saying they would not be getting a flu shot this flu season.
Earlier this month, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine and the National Center for Health Statistics released findings on the use of complementary and alternative medicine by people in the US. The findings came from a 2007 National Health Interview Survey, with information gathered from more than 23,000 adults aged 18 and older and over 9000 children age 17 and younger. In the survey, people were asked about natural health products they’ve used in the past 30 days. Here is a summary of the top 10 most popular natural products for 2007.
