Servant of the Drug Industry

Yahoo News reports, “Patients taking a controversial new drug for irritable bowel syndrome may have died because the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has become a ‘servant of the drug industry,’ the editor of The Lancet medical journal claimed in the May 19th issue.”

The articles author called the writing a “devastating editorial” while the Lancet’s title read, “Lotronex and the FDA: a fatal erosion of integrity.”

Speaking at this past weekend’s Focus program in Pennsylvania, Dr. Dean Sottile quite fittingly stated, “The War is Over.” There was a healthy discussion regarding this topic which continued throughout the weekend.

Perhaps you may feel we are we picking on MD’s? Need you be reminded that this article sites two major news networks and a “medical” journal? Who is fighting who? I don’t think the medics need us to get themselves any deeper into the grave. They have done a fine job of screwing up all by themselves.
