Planet Chiropractic and the Original MAHA Movement

In 2026, the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement is sweeping the nation, igniting a nationwide call for innate health, freedom from toxic chemicals and interventions, clean water and food, prevention over drugs and surgery, and empowerment through the body’s self-healing power. This revolution didn’t begin yesterday. Its roots trace back to the chiropractic community and Planet Chiropractic (planetc1.com), which has been reporting on these principles for decades.

One standout reminder is Dr. Ian Grassam, whose electrifying 1997 lecture at an ICA convention in Orange County, California, delivered a complete blueprint for what we now recognize as MAHA: chiropractic-led unity across wellness fields, rejection of a collapsing medical paradigm, responsibility for nurturing innate intelligence, and a call to pay the “price of greatness” to free humanity from fear, ignorance, and toxins.

Grassam proclaimed:

“And as chiropractors, knowing this principle, we have the amalgam that will bring all of the wellness world together. “The medical paradigm is collapsing on itself… It does not supply people what they need… The consciousness of man says I want a new principle. I want wellness care, I want prevention care, I want less drugs, I want less surgery, less psychiatry, less crap. I want a simple, non-invasive principle that recognizes that I am the source of my beingness and my health… Medicine can’t deliver the goods. Well if they can’t, then who’s got to? We will.”

And he challenged chiropractors directly:

“Seek first the kingdom – the chiropractor has the key to the kingdom. The kingdom of absolute freedom and absolute health. The ability to atone a planet… They’re suffering because you haven’t told them. They’re suffering because you haven’t adjusted them. They’re suffering because you haven’t set them free.”

“What is the price of greatness in your world? Or, worse than that, are you willing to live without greatness?… You should be energized by the possibility of total freedom… Choose to pay the price.”

Planet Chiropractic preserved Grassam’s words and built upon them with articles addressing vaccines, fluoride, environmental toxins, immune strength, and natural living – topics central to today’s MAHA discussions, published years before the movement went mainstream.
