July 28th, 2000 marked a monumental day for chiropractic in the new millennium as Life Chiropractic College West celebrated the opening of it’s new campus in Hayward, California. The event was attended by many great chiropractors from around the globe and was topped off by a fantastic weekend packed full of philosophy with the west coast return of Dynamic Essentials.
Chiropractors from the entire spectrum came out to support their friend Gerry. Doctors in attendance ranged from Reggie Gold to Lou Sportelli, from James Sigafoose to Jean Moss, it was surely an event that will go down in chiropractic history.
Why would such a diverse group come out to support Dr. Clum? It’s the “Gerry Factor” that brings out the best in people. Dr. Clum comes across not just as a great leader, but a great listener as well. Gerry displays qualities that are critical to maintaining unity in the chiropractic profession. He has the ability to actually listen to others with such understanding and empathy, and it has brought him great respect amongst his colleagues.
As the crowd cheered perhaps one may have thought “we could use more leaders like Gerry
Clum.” Well to that, less than 24 hours later Dr. Clum became a grandfather. For Dr. Clum, this weekend of love and abundance is going to be a tough one to top. Let’s help him fill the school with eager to learn chiropractic students.
Congratulations to Gerry, his son Don, Life West, and all the wonderful people doing so many amazing things for chiropractic in Northern California and across the globe.
