Ron Paul on Immunization and Vaccines

The topic of vaccines and aggressive vaccination policies is no longer a subject discussed only amongst small groups of people. It's a topic that's made its way to mainstream media and television. In many cases, proponents of mass vaccination are continually portrayed as saviors of the people, while those wanting greater transparency from government and big Pharma, are shown to appear as unscientific cultists, radicalists and fanatics, and uneducated religious nuts. Then there is Ron Paul.

The topic of vaccines and aggressive vaccination policies is no longer a subject discussed only amongst small groups of people. It’s a topic that’s made its way to mainstream media and television. In many cases, proponents of mass vaccination are continually portrayed as saviors of the people, while those wanting greater transparency from government and big Pharma, are shown to appear as unscientific cultists, radicalists and fanatics, and uneducated religious nuts. Then there is Ron Paul.

vaccine preparation for injection If a mom publicly says she’s chosen not to vaccinate her children, some may view her as a crackpot, and she’ll likely be attacked for the choices she has made for her family. A military veteran feeling they’ve been inflicted by mandatory vaccinations, is made out to look like a nut job trying to rob money from the government. But what about when a medical doctor speaks out? I’m not talking a quack MD that’s loaded on opinion and lacking in experience, this is a medical doctor that has practiced years as an obstetrician and has delivered thousands of babies.

You don’t read much about the medical doctor side of Ron Paul these days, as everyone has their focus on political issues. But the fact is, he is an expert in the field of medicine. He is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine and he served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force during the 1960s. He is a specialist in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has reportedly delivered more than 4000 infants into this world. I’d say he has some experience and is knowledgeable on the subject.

Yesterday I came across a video appearing on YouTube that feature Dr. Ron Paul answering someone’s questions regarding mandatory vaccination. In the video, a member of the audience asks Dr. Paul about his thoughts on vaccines and the force and pressure used by government to promote vaccination. Dr. Paul replied there are dangers with taking vaccines, there are also many blessings. He spoke about being in high school and having friends of neighbors dying from polio. Dr. Paul feels that particular vaccine has been fantastic. He followed by saying “I think we’ve gone way overboard, and I think Persian Gulf War syndrome is related to vaccines, and other things, chemicals, and depleted uranium.”

In the video he talks about having three kids that practice medicine and that have children of their own. “They have to be concerned about giving these vaccines.” He thinks that doctors have gotten to the point where they give too many vaccines, too often. “They bunch together four or five vaccines, overwhelming the immune system.”

Dr. Paul states that in a Free Society it would be assumed that the individual makes up their own mind. He explains that if you didn’t take a vaccine for polio, you’re not a danger to him, you’re a danger to yourself. He stated that he doesn’t like the idea of the use of force and he thinks we’ve gone way overboard, and “there’s a lot of people that have suffered severe consequences from overdoing these immunizations.”

Ron Paul Video: No To Mandatory Immunization

“The government should never have the power to require immunizations or vaccinations.” – Dr. Ron Paul, medical doctor that has delivered more than 4000 babies.

When it comes to issues of health care, which is such a huge discussion in this years election, shouldn’t we be listening to what the experts have to say? Democrat or Republican, independent or what ever, Ron Paul’s information on health care comes from someone that has lived in the trenches, and knows the field better than any political candidate. For our nation’s sake, lets hope someone’s paying attention.
