The purpose of the donation was to enrich the academic lives of all current and future students. It was important to the alumni association because they wanted to remind the Parker students that the association is here to support them as students and throughout their careers.

“It has provided students a place to relax, read patient files, and prepare themselves in order to take care of patients to the best of their ability,” said Timothy Gunn, director of alumni relations at Parker College.

The alumni association will be announcing its 2010 Annual Award recipients in a special luncheon held on September 24, 2010 from 12:30-2:00 pm at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. Nominations for the 2010 awards are being accepted until July 1 and nomination forms can be found at www.parkercc.edu/parker_alumni_association_awards.aspx.
