The Chiropractic Leadership Alliance (CLA) honored Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College and Parker Seminars, with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Patrick Gentempo, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of CLA presented Dr. Mancini with the award at the 2010 Parker Seminar in Las Vegas.
E-mails related to student loans, chiropractic schools, and general questions regarding practicing the field of chiropractic have been hitting my inbox with greater frequency lately. My apologies to those that I have not had a chance to e-mail back replies to. As I’ve done before, I prefer to address many of the questions as posed so that I can link to them when others ask questions in the future. Far more efficient on my part than to e-mail each person individually, since I too have a practice to maintain. Here’s one selected from a group of e-mails I’ve been meaning to reply to.
I don’t think I know a single chiropractor that doesn’t like free continuing education, and I believe it’s available in many states throughout the country. In nearly every state of the US I believe chiropractors are required to complete continuing education (CE) hours on a regular basis. In some states educational requirements are done yearly, and in other states educational requirements are taken care of biannually. Chiropractic continuing education hours are typically 12 to 20 hours per year, depending on the state educational hours are being applied for. I like going for continuing education each year, not only for learning new information, but for getting together with other chiropractors and finding out what they’ve been up to the past year or so.
Researchers at the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research (PCCR), on the Palmer College of Chiropractic campus in Davenport, Iowa, are working in collaboration with the University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry and Institute for Clinical and Translational Sciences in Iowa City, to explore the feasibility of using chiropractic care to treat people with chronic pain in their face and jaw, classified as temporomandibular disorde
Parker College of Chiropractic held a dedication ceremony commemorating the naming of the Dr. Alfred Zimmer States Diversified Technique Lab on Parker’s campus in honor of the memory of Dr. States, a man who dedicated his life to chiropractic and Parker College of Chiropractic. Family and friends of Dr. States attended the dedication along with members of the community, students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
