We had expected light posting of chiropractic classifieds during the days surrounding the first of January but new chiropractic ads continued to be posted daily since this office went on holiday December 23rd. More than 35 new ads have appeared since Christmas Day including listings for DRX9000 Lumbar Spinal Decompression Systems, chair massage tables, digital imaging solutions, Nervoscopes, insight millennium subluxation stations, practices for sale in Oklahoma and Idaho, and lots more.

Chiropractic jobs and practices for sale continued to be popular searches in the classifieds for the month of November. Today we round up recent classifieds placed for digital x-ray systems, Brican media systems, gait analysis systems, cervical intersegmental traction units, subluxation stations, several used x-ray units, and others. It’s Thursday and the CMA Awards (country music’s biggest) are over (Kenny Chesney won Entertainer of the Year award). Our normal Wednesday posting of classified ad results was postponed as a result, but you can view them all today. A trip to the medical doctor in September of 1895 could involve the taking of medicines such as calomel (mercury chloride) or tarter emetic to induce vomiting or create a laxative effect, or if one suffered a cough, a dose of opium could calm it quick. Blood letting, forced vomiting, and the ingestion of arsenic and strychnine were common approaches to the ills and pains of the day. The laying on of hands to vertebrae; in allowing the sick to get well naturally, and preventing the well from getting sick, was to become far more popular in the days and years that followed a single thrust made by one magnetic healer 113 years ago today.
