Accepting Application for a Chiropractor for the Health Services Authority of the Cayman Islands
The Chiropractor provides general chiropractic services which include diagnosing and managing health concerns, injuries and impairments associated with the neuro-musculoskeletal system, which may also be associated with other systems of the body. Also, create plan of care for pain management and support physiotherapy, emergency, nutrition, public health, general practice, radiology, and orthopedic services at the Health Services Authority.
Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate is responsible for assessing, identifying, and managing the clinical care of patients by way of performing physical, neurological, and orthopedic examinations, and creating a plan of treatment or management for such conditions. This may include ordering diagnostics tests and interpreting the results of such tests or the administering of specific chiropractic treatments i.e. spinal and extremity joint manipulation by hand or instrument, joint unloading techniques, muscle therapies, and physical therapy modalities such as IFC, pre-modulated, laser, ultrasound and supportive taping. He/she also provides advice with recommendations to improving chronic lifestyle-related diseases, including nutrition, supplementation, sleep habits, exercise, stretch plans, and mental betterment.
Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree registered within either of the seven (7) jurisdictions as specified in the Health Practice Law, Cayman Islands (Canada, Jamaica, USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) . A minimum of five (5) years of practice experience in chiropractic services is required. The ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team is essential. Knowledge of both nutrition and functional medicine would be an asset.
A remuneration and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications will be offered to the successful candidates for this post.
