World's oldest man born September 1895

The world’s oldest man appeared in news articles last week (Monday, June 18, 2007) after he received an official certificate from the Guinness World Records, verifying him as the world’s oldest male.

According to report on Yahoo! News, Tomoji Tanabe is currently 111 years old, born on September 18th, 1895.

Chiropractors will recognize that date as the day D.D. Palmer, the founder of chiropractic, gave the first chiropractic adjustment to a gentleman by the name of Harvey Lillard, in Davenport Iowa.

On September 18, 2007 don’t forget to say happy birthday to Tomoji and to Chiropractic, as they’ll both be 112 years old.

I recalled seeing the article in some news wire last week but I passed it by and did not read it until receiving an e-mail from a chiropractor in Connecticut. Many thanks to Dr. Robert Shaw in Milldale, Connecticut, for forwarding the article to Planet Chiropractic.
