Member organizations of the Chiropractic Coalition, including the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations (FSCO) and the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) will be meeting in Washington D.C. on Thursday, April 26th, to promote an agreed legislative agenda that includes Medicare improvements, better access to chiropractic care for military veterans, commissions for doctors of chiropractic as military officers, chiropractic inclusion in the TRICARE program for military dependents and retirees and other key initiatives.

More Medicare Confusion in 2007? Here’s some help…

Many people are still confused about the new Medicare part D or drug plan options related to the 2007 Medicare plan. According to Federal officials, 17 companies have been approved to provide Medicare drug coverage nationally for 2007. In 2006, there were nine. As a result, some Medicare beneficiaries will have more than 50 stand-alone plans to choose from for 2007. Selecting from 50 different cereals can be difficult enough, that’s why one should just typically choose LIFE.

US life expectancy falls below that of most wealthy nations

American medicine was publicly flogged recently because life expectancy in our country falls below that of most wealthy nations. This is totally unfair. I don’t think we should blame the medical industry for our lifespan. Medicine in the United States is doing everything in its power to fight death. Heck, we spend twice as much per person on medical care than any other country.
