Parker University Hosts 2011 Talk the TIC Finals

Parker University played host to the 2011 Talk the TIC Finals on July 6, 2011. Talk the TIC is a worldwide annual chiropractic health talk competition between chiropractic students effectively delivering a chiropractic message to others. The purpose is to refine the skill of communicating the principle, science, and knowledge of chiropractic in order to share it with the public. It allows students to practice overcoming their fear of public speaking as well as perfect their explanation of what chiropractic is and what the benefits of chiropractic care are to a lay audience.

Palmer Chiropractic Clinics Receive Iowa Quality Award

The Palmer Chiropractic Clinics, which provide the clinical education for senior-level students of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, were recognized at the Governor’s Recognition of Performance Excellence Celebration luncheon on May 5, 2011, in Des Moines. During the ceremony, Palmer Vice Chancellor for Clinic Affairs Kurt Wood, D.C., was presented the Commitment Award by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds. Palmer was one of six Iowa organizations to be recognized.
