The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in Washington, D.C., announced in June that the Palmer College of Chiropractic outpatient clinics in Port Orange and South Daytona, Florida, have received Recognition from the Back Pain Recognition Program (BPRP) for providing superior care to clinic patients suffering from low back pain. The two Palmer Chiropractic Clinics are affiliated with the college’s Florida Campus in Port Orange, Florida.

Palmer College of Chiropractic Chancellor Dennis Marchiori, D.C., Ph.D., along with a number of College faculty, staff and administrators, attended the Association of Chiropractic Colleges-Research Agenda Conference (ACC-RAC) March 17-19, in Las Vegas. Employees from all three campuses attended sessions and made platform and poster presentations, and two Palmer presentations garnered awards. Additionally, staff members from Palmer’s Continuing Education Department processed all state applications for CE credit at the conference.

Through a unique research project to study the effectiveness of chiropractic care in medically underserved populations, the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research (PCCR) and Community Health Care, Inc. (CHC), headquartered in Davenport, have joined forces. The joint project is called “Back-to-Health in the QCA.”

It’s no wonder people are still suffering from Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI), which are primarily caused by overuse of computer keyboards, computer mice, and other electronic gadgetry. Sadly, I don’t see the situation getting any better, regardless how hard chiropractors and other healthcare professionals work to educate consumers, on proper work environment ergonomics.

In a dingy hotel room, a pregnant crack addict self-delivers her baby. With her own hands, she pulls the baby out of her body, lays her daughter onto the dirty carpet. The mother soon abandons her new-born. Some people would call her a crack baby, an ugly name for a girl who never had a chance.
