Major League Baseball Wants What We’ve Got

The opening sentence in Saturdays Sacramento Bee article about the Oakland A’s reads “Help wanted: On-call, 24-hour chiropractor. Call now, offer may end Sunday.”

The article headline reads “A’s Notes: Neck woes continue to plague hitters” and according to the article, the team may be in need of “in-house” chiropractic care.

According to the article, “the A’s, like the rest of the major-league teams, have a network of chiropractors from which they can consult at home or on the road” but there may be a need for chiropractors to be traveling with major league baseball teams.

Chiropractors travel to the Olympics to care for athletes, they travel with film and music industry performers such as Mel Gibson and Madonna, they travel with teams in the National Football League, and if they don’t already do so, it’s time for team chiropractors at the world series.

Hey, how about stadium chiropractors so the fans can get adjusted too?

Sacramento Bee: A’s Notes: Neck woes continue to plague hitters

A side note: Did you know that the New York Yankees had a team chiropractor back in the 1920’s? A story by Cash Asher written in the 1940’s suggested that the Yankees went to great lengths not to let anyone know the team was under chiropractic care. They did not want to give away their “secret” the story said.

It’s no secret, Chiropractic Works!
