Living From The Inside Out

By Dr. Jeff Ptak

Where do I go for the answers I seek? Do I look in books, ask people questions, and continue to look outside myself? When I feel fear, anxiety, sickness, or the need for courage, I know I have been looking outside myself and observing fearful possibilities that my human mind has conjured up. It is an indication to me that I need to turn within for all support, re-assurance and nurture – nothing outside myself can provide that permanently.

No longer do I frantically search outside myself for my answers. During my quiet times of meditation, everything I desire is revealed to me. These times may lead me to books and people as a gentle unfolding. As I honor my Sacred Space within, I remain peaceful and centered as my right action unfolds before me. I remain aware of the mystery that I AM — a purposeful expression of life, constantly evolving into greater pathway’s of the Great Spirit in my life.

I thank the Great Spirit for my divine connection that leads and guides me from the inside out! There is a sweet sweet Spirit within that is ever available, waiting for me to turn to it. My conscious mind remains poised in perfect peace as I trust this wisdom within.

I thank the Great Spirits of the North, South, East and West for allowing chiropractic to align my physical so that I may stay forever connected to the great Universal Mystic Law so that I may express my true potential as a human being.

Peace.

    No Excuse For Irresponsibility

Give me a job that I know that I can do or at least think that I have a shot at being able to do and get out of my way and let me get to work. After a while I figured out that there isn’t a whole heck of a lot of things that I would like to do that I can’t get done especially after I learned the fine art of delegating and empowering so that I can rally a team when necessary. So many people don’t know they can do it. They don’t believe it so there is no way that they can achieve it. Give me a ball and I’ll run with it. I’m never happier in life then when I ‘m running with the ball.

2009 Preakness Stakes on May 16

The Preakness Stakes takes place this Saturday at Pimlico Racecourse in Baltimore, Maryland. Inaugurated in 1873, the Preakness is held on the third Saturday of May each year. As a kid I was fortunate to spend many Sundays at Belmont Race Track in New York, thanks to parents and relatives deeply interested in thoroughbred horse racing. This chiropractor remembers Woody Woodpecker cartoons playing on the TV screens in the early 1970s, probably something that was done to keep kids entertained while parents placed their bets. We never made the trip to Baltimore for the Preakness, but there were a few to the Kentucky Derby throughout the 1970s. This years stunning Kentucky Derby win by Mine That Bird will likely increase television viewership for the 2009 Preakness, as people from around the world tune in to see The Run for the Black-Eyed Susans.

    Too Fat for Chiropractic?

lumbar x-ray chiropracticHave you ever had someone so big (as in heavy) in your chiropractic office that you just could not fit them in front of the x-ray Bucky? You get out your calipers and the end falls off when trying to make the measurement. You glance at your patient’s belly, then at your bucky, and finally at your x-ray tube. You begin wondering when was the last time it was serviced. Will it hold out? Now I’m not trying to make fun of people, this is a serious issue. And either way, I know if you are taking x-ray you’ve been in this situation before.

    Children, Shots, and Autism

It’s almost as if the whole world has gotten into the discussion of vaccination and the question of it’s safety and efficacy. Although articles questioning vaccination did appear in the major press several years ago, they often included opportunistic commentary from pro-vaccine groups looking to paint a picture of lunacy and irrationality of those questioning…
