Hepatitis B Vaccine Linked to Onset of Diabetes

From MY WebMD comes an article titled: “Hepatitis B Vaccine Linked to Onset of Diabetes”

Notice it does not say: may be linked, could be linked, thought to be linked, as we used to see in the past. After you get to the site the title adds… “But Larger Studies Are Needed to Know if Risk Is Real.”

The article focuses on research done in Italy regarding the Hepatitis B Vaccine and suggests that “children who get the hepatitis B vaccine are at greater risk for developing type 1 disease than those who have never been vaccinated.”

The article includes comments from Marion Rewers, MD and the final sentence in the article is rather interesting, it reads:

“Rewers has not been involved with the development of any vaccine and has no ties to any company that manufactures vaccines.”

This is also something new we are beginning to see regularly in vaccine and drug related articles.
