I was recently checking our news archives when I noticed that last week we entered our fifth year of delivering chiropractic news worldwide. It has been an incredible journey and Gods light has certainly shined upon us.
The first news articles were published on planetchiropractic.com in June of 1999. Previous to that we had been delivering news via e-mail (beginning in 1996) but had not been posting articles to a centralized web site.
Of all the things that have come from creating Planet chiropractic, none have been more valuable to me than the friendships I have made. In 1996 I can recall sitting in a classroom with several of my fellow classmates and I spoke of plans I had for using the Internet to bring information to chiropractors all across the globe.
Contrary to popular belief, I did not know much about the Internet (who did?) in 1996 and I knew even less about HTML and other design languages that became essential to learn in order to create the services we now offer. What I did know, was that I had a burning desire to share the experience I was having in chiropractic. I wanted to share the essence of our philosophy, science, and art. I see that same spark in chiropractic students today and every time I do it motivates me to continue on the path that I headed upon in the 1990s. I had only been in chiropractic school for one year yet by some divine design I had already met such chiropractic greats as Reggie Gold, Fred Barge, Ian Grassam, and James Sigafoose.
Today, the chiropractic greats that I have met have increased exponentially. Those fellow classmates are still great friends of mine and we spend more time together now then we did when we were in school. The difference now is that there are wives, children, new homes and exciting chiropractic offices to talk about.
It doesn’t end there, as I have made friends all across the globe. Some I have still not yet had the pleasure to meet face to face but believe me when I say that you motivate me to be a better, more productive, loving and energetic person.
So to all my friends everywhere: may Gods light shine upon you and bring you all that you desire out of life.
