Do you want Chiropractic to “take off,” your practice to “take off?” Then we need to start thinking, speaking and acting as though they have and they will. Of course doing this will separate you from many people including some chiropractors. They will call you crazy. They will say you are wrong. They will eventually have enough of you, and they will attempt to crucify you.
They will do this not because they think we are living in a world of our own illusions, but because, sooner or later, others will become attracted to your truth–and the promises it holds for them.
Here is where our fellow “men” will inter-fear, for here is where what we do will begin to threaten them. Our simple truth, simply lived, will offer more beauty, more comfort, more peace, more joy, and more love of self and others than anything they could contrive.
So be ready, peaceful warriors. You will be vilified and called names, and deserted, and finally they will accuse you, try us, and condemn you–all in their own ways–from the moment you accept and adopt your calling; to remove subluxations and share the knowledge of vitalistic chiropractic philosophy to the world with love.
Why then do it?
Because we are no longer concerned with the acceptance or approval of the world. We are no longer satisfied with what that has brought us. We are no longer pleased with what it has given others. We want the suffering to stop, the illusion to end. We have had enough of this world as it presently is.
We know the medical profession holds back “cures,” refuses to approve alternative medicines and procedures (of which we are NOT) because they threaten the very structure of the “healing” profession. How about the governments of the world who do not want to end world hunger? No doctor wants to deny a “cure.” No countryman wants to see his people die. No individual doctor, that’s true. No particular countryman, that’s right. But doctoring and politicking have become institutionalized, and it’s the institutions that fight these things, sometimes very subtly, sometimes even unwittingly, but inevitably…because to those institutions it’s a matter of survival.
A very obvious example, if the medical profession were to admit what we do “might” provide some healing, this would tear at the very fabric of the institution as it has structured itself.
This is not malevolent, yet it is insidious. The profession doesn’t do this because it is evil. It does it because it is scared. All attack is a call for help.
Know it is time for a reality check within our own backyard. Our profession is becoming an institution. An institution because the “powers” that be are trying to eliminate the very core of our “profession”. They want to get rid of our philosophy, replace adjustment with manipulation and subluxation with manipulative lesion. The CCE has altered the educational requirements for anyone wanting to receive a “ChiropracTIC” education to the degree that he/she is not even clear as to what chiropractic is upon graduation. They spend more time learning to diagnose and treat medical conditions than they do in locating and correcting subluxations. After all, is this not our sole purpose. Because of this incongruence they end up harming two professions.
There are students in various schools (I don’t need to name) who are being condemned, accused and ridiculed for standing up for Chiropractics’ principles, for using “bad” words like adjustments and subluxation. And the worst of all, innate intelligence.
The time to take a stand and act is NOW. People, the public, are literally starving for what we have to give. Let’s serve it to them. But let’s do so unadulterated. Remember we have been given a sacred trust. Are we guarding it well?
Keep setting them free!!!
