In addition to her role with the alumni association, Dr. Rena Sawyers has also served Parker College as the director of Clinic Education and Marketing since 2005. She is a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association, Rotary Club International, and the Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Sawyers became a Lifetime member of the Parker Alumni Association in 2006.

“I consider it an honor and privilege to have served on this board for the past three years,” Dr. Sawyers said. “The alumni board has so many innovative and committed individuals who’ve given of their time and talents to build the strongest alumni association in Parker’s history. I’d like the opportunity to continue serving on the board to see the completion of projects already started. It’s a passionate vision of mine to see Parker’s Alumni Association grow and strengthen in numbers and connections where we support each other after leaving Parker’s gates.”

Dr. Scott Garber has traveled the world to bring chiropractic care to people in the Czech Republic, Germany, Singapore, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, and he had an established practice in Australia for many years. Dr. Garber currently practices at Chiropractic Works in Lenox, Massachusetts and is currently spearheading the New England chapter of the Parker Network, which enables alumni and friends of Parker College to remain connected to the college and active within the chiropractic community. Dr. Garber is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, World Chiropractic Association, and Chiropractic Association Australia and became a Lifetime member of the Parker Alumni Association in 2008.

“I consider it a privilege to be able to be part of, and serve, the greatest chiropractic college today,” said Dr. Garber. “I want to continue to support and serve in any way Parker College needs me to help build and carry on the dream of Dr. Jim. Service to my community, alumni, and family is my priority, and that path has allowed me to personally grow as a person and professional.”

Dr. Kayce A. Frye was born in Peru, South America and earned three bachelor’s degrees in Animal Science, Business, and Accounting from Abilene Christian University before beginning her studies at Parker. Dr. Frye currently practices at South Texas Chiropractic, Inc. in Laredo, Texas. She is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Texas Chiropractic Association, and holds a position on the Board of Directors for both the Laredo Rotary Club and Women’s City Club. She was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award in 2006, a prestigious Rotary award where the recipient exemplifies “Service Above Self.” Dr. Frye was also named one of America’s Top Chiropractors in 2007 and became a Lifetime member of the Parker Alumni Association in 2008.

“I was a leader in school, and I remain a leader in my community,” said Dr. Frye. “I want to play a larger role as a leader in the chiropractic community as well. The vision of the board to go global is timely; the more people we can reach through chiropractic the healthier the society.”

Membership in the Parker Alumni Association is all-inclusive and welcomes Parker graduates, doctors of chiropractic, chiropractic assistants, massage therapists, corporations, and wellness supporters to join them in their pursuit of excellence. In all its endeavors, the Parker Alumni Association strives to support and encourage all members to achieve the highest level of success in their relative fields.
