Scammers
I am writing you to inform you of a very elaborate scam that is currently occurring in our profession. If you are selling equipment either through Planet Chiropractic or your state association website scammers will present themselves as intermiates between the seller and the buyer. Traditionally it’s not on common. The broker will find a buyer. The buyer will send you a check for more than your asking price and you the seller pay the broker. This newest scam is very esquisite and very complicated. First they will send you a check for your equipment then say they found cheaper equipment and you need to return the money. Please do so through PayPal. You will call your bank and the bank will say the money has cleared. Then the scammers will text you and say that they have found another buyer and send you another check for more than the purpose amount and you will have to pay them their fee. Either through PayPal or cash. It all seems on the up and up until you realize that it actually takes 10 working days for checks to actually clear. These scammers know this very well. The checks are fake and fraudulent. Don’t get caught like I did.
