Bay To Breakers for Chiropractic 2010

San Francisco is in preparation for another Bay to Breakers event the third Sunday of May 2010. What has been a San Francisco tradition for nearly 100 years, the 12km foot race is held every 3rd Sunday in May, and it attracts serious runners, multitudes of costumed participants, and a multitude of those supporting things like chiropractic care for runners (even the ones dressed as storm troopers).

Planet Chiropractic received communications via the CCA regarding a “Bay To Breakers for Chiropractic” walk, an organized effort to get 60 or more chiropractic supporters walking the Bay to Breakers course on May 16, 2010.

San Jose Chiropractor, David Hoewisch, is organizing the effort, he writes… “Anyone who is a chiropractic supporter is invited to walk with us in the annual Bay To Breakers event. Our goal is to get 60 chiropractic supporters to walk the course.” Dr. David Hoewisch can be contacted at (408) 985-8118.

We covered the 2009 Bay to Breakers San Francisco race and event and also had a post featuring San Francisco 2009 Bay to Breakers Results and Photos. It’s a spectacular time to be had by all, and chiropractic supporters should have a ball while doing the walk and getting the word out on the world’s leading natural form of healthcare.

Here are some why, where, when, and other details from Dr. David Hoewisch related to the event. Let him know ASAP that you’re going to be participating.

Why: Public Relations, when 60 people clad in the same T-shirt walk by chanting “Hey Ho, Chiro” and carrying a banner, people take note. This is inexpensive advertising for the profession, and it’ll be lots of fun!

When: Sunday, May 16, 2010, meet at 7:30AM, estimated finish time is 11:30AM. We start our walk at 8:30AM

Where: Meet in front of the Moscone Convention Center on Howard between 3rd and 4th St. in San Francisco and look for the 40′ yellow banner

Details: Your sweats will be brought to the finish line. You’re responsible to get back to the start. The Muni bus back to the start is $10.00. Free ‘Chiropractic Works’ T-shirt to all. For an official B2B T-shirt, register online at www.ingbaytobreakers.com Join us after the ‘walk’ at the Cliff House for a magnificent brunch. Cost ~$25.00/person.

RSVP: To Dr. David Hoewisch, 408-985-8118; if no answer, leave your name(s) and T-shirt size(s) on answering machine. Deadline to register for a chiropractic T-shirt is May 1st. You can still walk with us even if you: 1) don’t register for a T-shirt by 5/1 and 2) even if you don’t let us know in advance that you’re coming. Come on and suprise us.

All the best to everyone participating in this run, race, walk!
