Life West College President Completes Long-Term Service To World Federation of Chiropractic

HAYWARD, California — Dr. Gerard Clum, president of Life Chiropractic College West, completed 10 years of service as an active member in the executive committee of the council to the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC). During that time, he served in various capacities including secretary treasurer, second vice president and president. In June, he completed two years as the past president of the WFC.

The WFC has national associations of chiropractors in 85 countries as its voting members, and represents them and the chiropractic profession internationally. Many individuals and organizations support its work as associate members. The WFC has been a non-governmental organization or NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1997, and collaborates with many federations representing other healthcare professions.

Life West, established in 1976, is an accredited non-profit institution of higher learning. Currently over 400 students from across the United States and abroad are enrolled, and over 3,700 graduates of Life West are now providing chiropractic care worldwide. The college’s Health Center, a public outpatient facility, staffed by approximately 150 senior interns who are guided by licensed doctors of chiropractic, provides affordable health care to more than 1,500 patients per week in the city of Hayward, California. Parker College Opens New Family Chiropractic Wellness Center

(Flower Mound, TX) — Parker College of Chiropractic announces the opening of a new chiropractic center in Flower Mound, Texas. The center will contribute to educating students in a real world experience and will continue the development of students transitioning from a college internship to a chiropractic field practitioner. It also offers students the opportunity to examine and treat a high volume of patients that will bring them to a more advanced level of clinical performance.

Parker College of Chiropractic WellnessParker is working closely with alumni and other chiropractors in the area to bring the chiropractic message to the community.

The state-of-the-art center will allow the doctors of chiropractic and senior student interns to provide superior care with the latest technologies to accompany chiropractic wellness care. The wellness center will feature private adjusting rooms, passive and active therapy, a patient education room, x-rays, nutritional counseling, a supplement store, and more.

The center will be led by Dr. Keith Johnson and Dr. Daniel Kurth. Dr. Johnson is a current resident of Flower Mound who practiced in the community for over 25 years before joining Parker College. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Kurth practiced in both Denver and Iowa before moving his family to Dallas, Texas, where he has been a member of the Parker team since 1997.

Parker College has two affiliated chiropractic centers where senior student interns get real world experience under the supervision of doctors of chiropractic located in Dallas and Irving.
