The Life University Running Eagles rugby team beat Boston 27-23 on Saturday to clinch a berth in the Rugby Super League National Championship game on May 21st. When we decided to create a chiropractic college within a comprehensive university, our vision was in part to bring the world to chiropractic. The future presidents of companies, future researchers, future CEO’s, future politicians, future business owners, etc., all have one thing in common, an education from an academic center of excellence. LIFE EVP & Provost Elected to ACC Executive Board

The Executive Board for the Association of Chiropractic Colleges announced its newly elected officers on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the Association of Chiropractic Colleges/Research Agenda Conference (ACC/RAC) held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Board, which consists of the presidents (or designees) of each chiropractic program in the U.S., Canada and New Zealand, elected incoming President Richard Brassard (Texas Chiropractic College), Vice President Mark Zeigler (Northwestern University of Health Sciences) and Dr. Brian McAulay, Life University Executive Vice President and Provost, as Secretary-Treasurer. The outgoing president is Frank Nicchi (New York Chiropractic College). McAulay will serve a two-year term, as will the other appointees, and will likely succeed Ziegler as vice president and then president, according to ACC custom.

End of Days For Chiropractic Profession?

Is it time for chiropractors to begin marketing themselves as manual therapists in order to fit in to some medical model? Is the profession predominantly in favor of peddling muscle relaxers and other pharmaceuticals while performing colonics and doing foot baths? Have the colleges gotten so far out of touch with the rest of the industry that churning out student failures has become the primary business model? The doom and gloom train has left the station but someone forgot to send me a ticket.
