Parker College of Chiropractic announces the opening of a new chiropractic center in Flower Mound, Texas. The center will contribute to educating students in a real world experience and will continue the development of students transitioning from a college internship to a chiropractic field practitioner. It also offers students the opportunity to examine and treat a high volume of patients that will bring them to a more advanced level of clinical performance.
Seven Parker College student interns from the student abroad program in Colombia and their faculty chiropractor joined the Olympic health care staff in the 2010 South American Games by providing chiropractic care for the country of Colombia where they made history by becoming the champion of the games for the first time. The games which took place in March were held in Medellin, Colombia including 15 competing countries for two weeks in 42 sports.
Parker College of Chiropractic announces 2010 chiropractic research grant opportunities for researchers in private practice or associated with an academic institution. Multiple grants are available and each will provide up to 5,000 dollars of financial aid in clinical research projects.
Parker College of Chiropractic student, Logan Sherman placed first in the annual Cowtown Marathon. The marathon consisted of 20,000 runners this year. Sherman established himself as an elite leader of the pack early on in the 32nd annual 26.2-mile run through the streets of Fort Worth, Texas.
Parker College of Chiropractic held its largest Alumni reception in Las Vegas during the Parker 2010 Vegas Seminar. Parker alumni and friends gathered and reconnected. This year’s event was exclusive to alumni and guest only and was the most well attended Vegas alumni event in the history of Parker College.
Parker College of Chiropractic held a dedication ceremony commemorating the naming of the Dr. Alfred Zimmer States Diversified Technique Lab on Parker’s campus in honor of the memory of Dr. States, a man who dedicated his life to chiropractic and Parker College of Chiropractic. Family and friends of Dr. States attended the dedication along with members of the community, students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Parker College of Chiropractic is pleased to announce the 10th anniversary of its president, Dr. Fabrizio Mancini. During his tenure as president, Dr. Mancini has made significant contributions to the advancement of chiropractic, wellness, and health care and has made a tremendous impact on communities locally, nationally, and abroad.
Parker College of Chiropractic will participate in CollegeWeekLive, the world’s biggest virtual college fair exhibiting to more than 25,000 attendees on March 25 and 26, 2009. Parker College will have its own virtual booth where students can learn about the school and degree programs, chat live with Parker representatives, access important documents, and even apply for admission.
After spending more than 30 years as a Parker Seminars attendee, Dr. Gilles Lamarche is now on the other side, having recently accepted the position of Vice President of Seminars and Development at Parker College of Chiropractic. Dr. Lamarche will oversee Parker Seminars, Community and Donor Relations, Parker SHARE Products, and the Office of Alumni Relations.
A select group of 14 Parker University students were honored with one of the most prestigious awards the academic community can bestow-selection to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. This elite honor is conferred by more than 2,842 higher educational institutions.
