Chiropractic Summit V on National Health Care Reform

Chiropractic Summit V, which convened on May 14th in Washington, DC, has issued this historic CALL TO ACTION to the chiropractic profession, urging every Doctor of Chiropractic, state association, chiropractic student and chiropractic patient, to mobilize to represent chiropractic in the national health reform debate. This unified nationwide call follows an intensive day-long Summit session in which Members of Congress, Congressional staff and key leaders in chiropractic and in public policy examined the precise state of national health care reform discussions to determine how and where the chiropractic profession will be most effective in directing messages of concern and calls for inclusion in any reform program.

COCSA Adopts Scoliosis Awareness Program

The Congress of Chiropractic State Associations (COCSA) today announced that it has adopted the Scoliosis Awareness Program produced and provided by the non-profit Scoliosis Care Foundation, as its newly launched national outreach project. COCSA’s board of directors voted to join forces with the Scoliosis Care Foundation in offering all chiropractic state associations access to educational materials from Scoliosis Care Foundation that have the potential to make a positive impact on the way scoliosis is treated in the United States.

CCGPP on the Proper Use of Guidelines

Recently we were contacted about the appropriateness of individual states endorsing one guideline document over another. While we have no control over how any state association, governmental agency or payor uses or endorses guidelines, we would ask that each executive director and each individual doctor consider the proper use of guidelines and how these important documents potentially impact our profession, both from within and without Chiropractic.
