Clinical Posture Assessment Therapy and Exercise
March 6, 2008 @ 2:00 pm - March 20, 2008 @ 7:00 pm
Learn research-based biomechanical concepts and exercises and experience them for yourself during this “lecture & lab” format seminar. Our hands-on approach ensures you learn the techniques to not only assess and strengthen your patient’s posture, but your own as well. Posture principles and patient-friendly demos from Dr. Weiniger’s new book, Stand Taller~Live Longer, provide a practical framework to begin creating a Posture Practice on Monday morning.
“Move Well to Age Well” is a concept supported by basic biology, current research and common sense. Exercise helps bodies age better, but you can only exercise in the ways you can move. Discover the importance of full-range motion, and the effect of loss of mobility on function and mortality in older adults. You will learn essential tools like balance exam procedures and StrongPosture exercises to potentially reverse the downward slide frequently seen in later life.
