Planning Chiropractic Continuing Education for 2014

October is my birth month, and as every licensed chiropractor in the United States knows, the month of your birth is also the month you better have your chiropractic relicensing complete. I love attending continuing education conferences, so much so, that I’m already planning where I’ll be going to get my 24 hours of continuing education in 2014.

Chiropractic Continuing Education Green Books Study with Harold George

Continuing education is something all practicing chiropractors in the United States are required to do. Opportunities for continuing education are numerous, with weekend chiropractic seminars taking place (typically near airports) throughout the United States. Like most chiropractors, if it’s the month of my birthday, I will seek out what education is nearby, but for several years now I’ve been getting my hours months in advance. Thanks to Planet Chiropractic Seminars I get to see lists of events taking place across the country, and I’m really glad I chose the green books education class during Sherman Lyceum with Dr. Harold George.

Getting Free Chiropractic Continuing Education

I don’t know of too many chiropractors that would not like to get their yearly continuing education requirements done for free. In California, I’ve been getting free continuing education each year from the CCA, since for a few years they have been providing free CE seminars for paid members. I suppose you could argue that it’s not exactly free, but if you’re a chiropractor practicing in California I’d wonder why you’re not supporting your state organization. As a paid lifetime supporter of Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles (now closed) I used to also get free continuing education from CCCLA.

Foot Levelers Partners with Life West to Advance Chiropractic Education

Foot Levelers, Inc., an avid and generous supporter of chiropractic education and the profession, has partnered with Life Chiropractic College West in a multi-phased project to be completed over the course of several years. This comprises the second $250,000 pledge of a donation totaling $500,000. The agreement includes a donation of orthotic scanning equipment, positioning imaging technology and expert training. Patients of Life West’s health center will also benefit as they will receive educational materials, evaluation services and Foot Levelers products. Life West students will also gain access to the latest orthotic technology, and receive the in-depth clinical training needed to provide the highest level of care to their patients.

Life West College Dean Plays Key Role in Upcoming WFC Education Conference

Dr. Joseph Ferguson, dean of the college at Life Chiropractic College West, is one of several program directors traveling to Madrid, Spain to help organize this year’s World Federation of Chiropractic/Consortium of European Chiropractic Educators/Association of Chiropractic Colleges Education Conference at the Royal University Center Maria Cristina.

Free Continuing Chiropractic Education

I don’t think I know a single chiropractor that doesn’t like free continuing education, and I believe it’s available in many states throughout the country. In nearly every state of the US I believe chiropractors are required to complete continuing education (CE) hours on a regular basis. In some states educational requirements are done yearly, and in other states educational requirements are taken care of biannually. Chiropractic continuing education hours are typically 12 to 20 hours per year, depending on the state educational hours are being applied for. I like going for continuing education each year, not only for learning new information, but for getting together with other chiropractors and finding out what they’ve been up to the past year or so.
